Poetry: Time

A blink
A woman, old and gray
Sitting in a chair overlooking the lake

A blink
Running through the fields
Don’t let the bees sting
Didn’t have a chance

A blink
Playing an instrument
Sitting on a fence
Neighbor parents watching the show

A blink
Old and content
Memory fading
A life well lived

A blink
My wedding day
The birth of my son
Graduation

A blink
Crawling on my belly
Learning how to move
A full life ahead
